Christmas Party for Global Beauty Company 2006
The Brief
When the leader in global beauty came to Uptown Events with a challenge on their hands for their Christmas party we immediately stepped up to the mark. For their Christmas party this year they needed somewhere alternative and unusual, stylish but simple with a menu to die for and all inclusive drinks package.
The Venue
After taking on board all our client’s requests we knew there was only one option, the spectacular Hurlingham Club in Fulham, West London. This exclusive member’s only club is set in its’ own grounds and borders the river Thames. With a waiting list for membership of over 13 years we knew it was bound to impress and give that all important wow factor. The cuisine at The Hurlingham Club is renowned as some of the most superior in London and this occasion was no different. Not only did the guests receive the ultimate in three course meals Uptown Events also arranged for a canapé reception upon arrival.
The Party
As soon as the guests were rolling up the sweeping drive they realised this was a party like no other. The Hurlingham Club’s majestic setting conveyed instantly what was to come. The canapé reception was held in the atrium with spectacular views out onto the grounds and the champagne flowing. The roaming caricaturist made up badges for each guest as they arrived and proved a hit all round as people saw themselves and their friends in a whole new light! Colin Nell, Uptown Events world class football freestyler was on hand to provide unparalleled entertainment and the display he provided had several guests speechless with his skills and tricks. As the guests moved into the dining room once more the views were stunning and the room was dressed to impress with beautiful uplighting to depict the features of the room and create a warm environment. The tables were also decorated to reflect the simple style the client has specified with fabulous centrepieces. During dinner the caricaturist once more mingled among the guests and Colin put on his second performance of the night. The DJ kept the dance floor full all night and the drinks package that Uptown Events had negotiated was an unparalleled success as everyone enjoyed the night and commented on how much fun they had.
