Christmas Party – Radisson Portman
The Brief
The client came to us wanting us to organise a party to a set budget, which was lower than the previous year, yet wanting a better party in a different, unique venue.
The Venue
Located in the heart of London's fashionable West End, the Radisson SAS Portman Hotel was the perfect choice with it being one of the most vibrant hotels in London. Superbly designed to cater for business and both private parties, we felt this was the perfect venue for our client suiting all of their needs.
The Party
Guests entered the lavish reception room where an array of drinks and champagne awaited them. On each of the tall tables there were also nibbles for guests to endeavour while mingling with each other. Excitable chatter filled the room with the sounds of clinking glasses and laughter. Guests pose happily and the clicking of a camera can be heard as an Uptown photographer takes pictures of the guests looking at their best.
After nearly an hour of sipping champagne the main doors are opened and the spectacular dining room revealed. The dimly lit room emphasises the sparkling chandeliers and, along with a single candle lighting each table, helps create an atmosphere of elegance. All of the tables have white tablecloths with gorgeous centre pieces the chairs are covered in matching white, tying in with the tables perfectly. No sooner are the guests settled and sat at their tables then the starter is served. Guests enjoy your fabulous 3-Course meal, followed by coffee and petit-fours.
Once the guests are contently full up the real party begins! Our state of the art Disco and DJ comes alive with a fully flashing 70's dance floor to really get the guests dancing! Uptowns favourite DJ then plays all the latest, and oldest tunes, getting everybody in the groove!
In the adjoining room the bar is also buzzing and across the room are a crowd of people surrounding a stage, singing and dancing along to the strangely sung song that's playing… as you get closer you realise that there is karaoke which is giving colleagues the chance to show their talents! Everybody is cheering their colleagues on and even the shyest of colleagues are up giving it a go!
The night finally comes to end after much partying, drinking and eating, and guests reluctantly leave, tired yet happily content after another fantastic Christmas Party organised by Uptown Events!
